CANNIBAL CORPSE: Support Acts For Australia/New Zealand Tour Announced

July 18, 2006

Soundworks Touring has officially announced the support acts for the upcoming Australia/New Zealand CANNIBAL CORPSE tour.

Support within Australia will come from PSYCROPTIC (Tasmania) and PLAGUE (WA).

Without a doubt leading the charge in Australian metal, PSYCROPTIC has proven to be not just a brutal force within this country but now on worldwide level. Having just returned from a hugely successful European tour with NILE and CANNIBAL CORPSE, PSYCROPTIC is ready to punish Australian crowds again and further promote its latest album, "Symbols of Failure".

Having secured a number of support slots with leading Australian metal bands such as BLOODDUSTER, PSYCROPTIC, DEVOLVED and ALCHEMIST, and also performing at Australia's premiere metal festival, "Metal for the Brain" 2005, in both Canberra and Perth, PLAGUE is quickly establishing themselves as one of the high standard Australian metal acts and is set to take their unique style to new heights.

Support within New Zealand will come from ULCERATE.

In April 2006, ULCERATE signed with Dutch extreme metal label Neurotic Records, whose roster includes such notable acts as SPAWN OF POSSESSION, PSYCROPTIC, VISCERAL BLEEDING and PANZERCHRIST, among others. Their debut full-length, "Of Fracture and Failure", slated for an August release, will prove to be ULCERATE's most accomplished material to date and will hopefully solidify their name in the international extreme music genre.
